For those of us lucky enough to live in San Diego, our health, safety and well-being are of primary concern for the County of San Diego.  It’s Live Well San Diego initiative envisions a region that helps county residents thrive.

Although Live Well San Diego began in 2010 as a health strategy, it has evolved into a greater vision to improve the health, safety and well-being of all county residents.  There are three components:

  1. Building Better Health calls for improving the health of all residents and supporting healthy choices.
  2. Living Safely calls for ensuring residents are protected from crime and abuse, neighborhoods are safe and communities are resilient to disasters and emergencies.
  3. Thriving calls for cultivating opportunities for all people and communities to grow, connect, and enjoy the highest quality of life.

Thriving in San Diego: Events, Resources, and Tools

Through the Live Well San Diego website, you can find a wealth of hard-to-find resources, tools, and tips and explore opportunities for community connections.

  • Learn about important community events.
  • Find tips and tools for individuals and families on topics ranging from: physical activity, farmer’s markets, a Guide to fast food and fine dining restaurants near you that serve healthy foods, and emergency preparedness mobile apps.
  • Find inter-generational opportunities in the community. Inter-generational events and activities offer people of different ages the opportunity to come together and share their talents, experiences, knowledge and skills. Such efforts can provide benefits to all involved and foster life-enhancing growth, understanding and friendship.

Connecting Our Community

Live Well San Diego brings together business, schools, military and veteran’s organizations, community- and faith-based organizations, and all levels of government to bring about positive change for the future.

On August 18, 2016, ReVisions Resources, became a Live Well San Diego partner. Chairman Ron Roberts and all members of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors commended our nonprofit agency for its outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the health and wellness of county residents and welcomed us as a Live Well San Diego partner.

At the same event, ReVisions honored Jack and Esther Bloom for their lifetime legacy of contributing to the lives of young people through innovative connections that make a difference. As a third grader in the Poway district confided to them:

“you may be old but your hearts are young.”

ReVisions Resources will collaborate with PACE TV in sharing the Blooms’ success story and plan to mount an exhibit of Jack’s Visual Vocabulary Art at community venues. If you are interested in participating as a site sponsor, volunteer, or underwriter, please contact ReVisions Resources.
